Legal Interpreting Training

General Information to Plan Your Travel to the Legal Interpreting Training!

This three-day workshop, a unique opportunity, is two days of preparation for a third all-day mock trial experience as it exists in today's court system. The courtroom is limited to an exclusive group of 30 participants in one track.

ALERT: The first 24 participants to register will have a hands-on experience in the mock trial on Sunday, and the remaining 6 participants will observe it. All 30 participants will be training together on Friday and Saturday.

Topics vary for each track and may include case file analysis, terminology, interacting with the courts, and witness testimony. This workshop does not provide training on teaming strategies for Deaf and Hearing teams, nor does it prepare interpreters as agents for social or systemic change.
